Georgia, a country far away of the former Soviet Union, which barely mentions recover from years of strong economic and social constraints and the recent armed conflict had with neighboring Russia. Thanks to Bishop Giuseppe Pasotto, (one of us is carrying out its mission apostolic in this area as a bishop), the idea of \u200b\u200ba project to give a light of hope to this people, and an opportunity for us to grow with them.
The project starts from the presence of an agricultural structure in the diocese of Bishop Pasotto Tserovani and located, about 30 km from the capital Thiblisi, dedicated to human and Christian formation of young people in difficulty through farming.
The structure identified is this a house for meetings, surrounded by farmland, in which, at this time, it was planted a vineyard, a production of cereals and three greenhouses for growing vegetables. There is also an empty stall that could be used for farming purposes. This house gives
the opportunity to host a group of young that, through community life, are educated in the principles of accountability and work habits, with the aim to train men then able to initiate their own project life.
The project is ambitious and difficult task, become possible thanks to support human and spiritual life of a community like ours , firmly tied to Bishop Pasotto.
There are already people who believe in this project and have already committed to Zerovani going to start farming and ensure that this initiative will gradually also become economically independent. And 'this is the most important step of the project: create a permanent chain of volunteers who, through their presence in Zerovani, able to help young Georgians to breathe life into their experiences .
Bovolone Some young people have already given their availability and one of them, Andrea Quaglia , started in early March, after having already spent three months last year and returning to specialize in growing vegetables. Three more will leave in June to do their promotional work for three weeks. Andrea will stop in Georgia a year.
To give continuity to our experience, the project however, requires adequate financial support linked to the missionary awareness that within each of us home. Through the pages of the magazine will be provided updates and will soon be organized to interact with a website that will provide news on the progress of the project and the connection with the work of volunteers.
